EASE OF INSTALLATION:(5/5)

To virtually eliminate leakage at the base, a wax ring with an A.B.S. flange works best.Depending on the location of your shut-off valve, a short 9 inch braided stainless steel flex connector is preferred for a quick and leak-tight connection.

FLUSHING POWER:(5/5)

Residentially, simply the best in the business.The strong flush also cleans any sediment left inside the fixture drain eliminating future clogging.Due to the strong flush, the installation manual also cautions with conditions on installing two Supreme toilets back-to-back.

BOWL AND RIM CLEANING:(4/5)

Cleaning ability is relative to how strong the waste adheres to the bowls surface.This obviously varies with each individual who uses the toilet.Personally, I have not seen a residential toilet under extreme conditions that can effectively wash the bowl and rim with one flush.

The Supreme's water does not swirl in the bowl like most other makes and therefore fails to wet all surface areas of the bowl.After a week of use, a noticeable ring of dirt appears at the bowl's water level which is also the bowl's change in contour.

There is a jet-like stream under the front of the rim that is aimed at the bowl's waste outlet to breakup harder waste matter pushing it into the outlet to almost guarantee a one-time plug-free flush.American Standard has an elongated commercial 2-piece toilet where the jet-like stream's outlet is below the surface of the bowl's water (like a jacuzzi) where the stream is much stronger virtually eliminating any clogging.

SOFT CLOSE SEAT:(4.5/5)

The top surface of the seat is angled steeper than most traditional seats.It's something to get used to by having to position your body's shape along the length of the seat for the most comfortable seating position.The top of the seat is also on average higher than traditional seats.

The soft close lid and seat does effectively eliminate slamming.

TANK LID COVER:(4.5/5)

I took 0.5 points off because the top surface of the tank is slanted towards the user.Placing accessories on the lid would not be recommended.The accessories will eventually slide off damaging the TOTO, the accessory and the flooring.It is best to apply small non-slip legs on the bottom of the accessory to eliminate sliding.

The provided Velcro strips did not adhere to the rough edge of the tank.Therefore, I did not use the strips.The lid under normal circumstances will not separate from the tank.No big deal.

OVERALL:(5/5)

The older two piece water saving Eljer toilet the Supreme replaced was constantly plugging.

I bought the Supreme for one reason:flushing power.As a result, the 5 star rating is biased towards it's flushing ability.

Would I buy another TOTO?Any TOTO?Yes!
